Bangladesh Association of New York



Bangladesh Association of New York is a non-profit organization established in 1996. By nature it is a philanthropic organization.

The purpose of Bangladesh Association of New York is primarily to provide assistance, guidance and counsel to new immigrants and less advantaged people.

Bangladesh Association of New York also firmly believes in developing a strong effective Bangladeshi- American community to contribute to different aspects of the American Socio-economic arena as well as in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Association of New York implements its polices and programs through it executive committee with the concern of the Board of Trustees and receives donations for materializing different projects. A certified financial report and an annual activity report are presented in the general meeting at the end of the year in accordance with the constitution of Bangladesh Association of New York. Bangladesh Association of New York will have its own office and paid officials/employees to serve the community better.

Bangladesh Association of New York (BANY) is axiomatically a philanthropic organization serving the needs of the people who are less advantageous. In addition it exists to blend the ethnicity with that of the American culture. It is not a political organization nor does it purport to be a religious group. It embraces people of all walks of life, with any religious origin and ethnic background.




Our Mission

BANY is dedicated to providing assistance outreach and counseling to newly migrated Bangladeshis living in the New York Metropolitan Area.
